This seminar will provide an overview to the Queensland Government’s smart state initiative Small Business Solutions.  It will cover off why it has been developed; what the initiative provides for small business owners; who are the mentors providing the business mentorship; what is covered under the mentorship; what is a business health check; some testimonials from current businesses; how they can sign up for the program; what it costs and ultimately the benefit they can get out of it.

Small business represents the largest employment sector in the state.  This fact is recognised by state government and through the recent Queensland Skills Plan the state government now supports a subsidised business mentoring service that small business owners and operators can make use to support them in business.

The small business solutions service is a one on one service using the skills of experienced business operators as mentors to support other small businesses in the state.This exciting initiative has the key support of stakeholders such as State Development, Commerce Queensland, Australian Institute of Management, Australian Industry Group, Women’s Network Australia.
